November 2015

Winds are blowing and trimming the trees.  Leaves and branches litter the ground and it feels like there is a new clean up chore every day. Add the rain and, welcome though it is after the drought this summer, it makes the clean up just that much messier.  Still, the hellebore is starting to bloom, the mahonia is showing bright yellow flowers and those faithful primroses and pansies brighten up the flower beds.  Winter heather softens the landscape and through all the fallen debris, we still see the promise of our gardens.

New seed catalogs are coming out and those help us dream of the future.  A warm room and a cup of tea, cocoa or coffee in hand seem like heaven.

With Thanksgiving just a week and a half away, we are thankful for quite a lot and that begins with you.

Happy Thanksgiving .  May your travels be safe and your dinners hot.
